Yozan Mosig - History Times WriterYozan Mosig is a professor at the University of Nebraska-Kearney. A Buddhist monk, and five time martial arts world champion, he is originally a native of Germany. He lived in Spain for several years and also in Argentina before moving to the U.S. in 1963, where he received his Ph.D. in 1974 from the University of Florida.

Although his original training was in psychology, over the last 15 years he has become increasingly interested in Ancient History, conducting research on the Punic Wars and especially the figure of Hannibal.

He has published analyses of the battles of Cannae and Zama in The International Journal of the Humanities and has offered presentations on the subject at the 4th and 5th International Conferences on New Directions in the Humanities (Carthage, Tunisia, 2006, and Paris, France, 2007).

History Times approved writerHe is currently working on a book on Hannibal for Apollonia Publications in Tunisia, as well as on a paper on the demonization of Phoenicians and Carthaginians in the Ancient Mediterranean world.
