Here you can see the history writers who contribute to this site. To see the profiles of the writers simply click their images below. Plus, if you love writing about World War 1, World War 2, the Vietnam War, and European History (Ancient and Modern) in particular then why not get in touch? We’ll review your work to see if it can be published here. You will also get a personal profile page as well as one of our rather natty “History Times Approved Writer” badges which you can place on your own site or blog for added exposure and some general thumbs up kudos. So if you’ve ever longed to enjoy the recognition your writing really deserves then now is the time to get going, because when folks arrive at History Times it’ll be your articles they’ll begin enjoy reading, your profile they’ll view and yes - if you’ve even got a related book or essays you’d like us to feature we’re happy to discuss seeing them featured here too. Just a few of the benefits of contributing to the site include: • Exposure for your work – Our traffic levels are continually on the increase so more and more people will see your name out there. We work alongside some of the biggest names in publishing, and are partnered with HarperCollins, the BBC History Magazine, and the History Channel (in the UK) – who knows what opportunities might come your way as a result? • Because of the relationships we have, we shall be featuring work from eminent historians and authors – we are confident there is no other platform that allows your writing to sit side by side with these “big name” writers. • Develop your skills and portfolio – Over the course of time, you’ll build up a large selection of articles that you can add to your own portfolio. Not only that, but the more you write, the more your skills as a writer will develop. Apologies if we’re teaching you to suck eggs here! • Get published! One idea that we’re currently looking at is the possibility of putting together a selection of the best articles of the year, publishing it and marketing it through our partners. This idea is very much at the embryonic stage at the moment – we’ll keep you posted! • For podcasters, our podcasts will be submitted to all the major podcast directories, including iTunes, providing you with even more exposure. If that sounds like something you’d be interested in following up, please do get in touch below. We look forward to hearing from you soon. Tags: |
